Setup Guide

Quick-release installation for Tripfella aluminium luggage systems.

Central case

To set up a central case, you will need to buy a rear rack designed for your motorcycle. All Tripfella racks are easy to fit into the assigned slots or attach to existing fixing points — no adaptation required. Bolts, washers, and nuts come with the rack kit.

If you order a central case with a rear rack, you will get a quick-release fixing included. It allows you to remove or install the case in seconds.

To fix the case, place the white shims into the rack cutouts as shown below. Move the case fully to the back and tighten the special flat nut on the case bottom. A locking pin will go through the rack and secure the case from movement.

Fixing and removal now take only a few seconds. The bottom lock makes removal impossible without opening the lid — adding theft resistance.

Side cases

To set up side cases, you’ll need side frames (can also be ordered from us). Installation takes 10–20 minutes, with all fittings and instructions included. Once the frames are in place, attaching or removing the cases takes a few minutes and no tools.

Follow the steps below:

  • Unscrew washer nuts (3) by hand and move down the metal flags (1).
  • Hold the case with both hands, tilt its top slightly toward yourself, and fit the lower fastenings (2) into the lower part of the frame.
  • Insert upper fastenings into the frame. If they don’t fit, ensure the lower fastenings are correctly seated and the case is even.
  • Bring the flags (1) to a vertical or horizontal position behind the frame.
  • Tighten the washer nuts (3) by hand.

Use the reverse order to remove the cases.
