Privacy Policy

This page explains what personal data is processed when you use tripfella.eu or buy a Tripfella product via this site, and how Moto Scout OÜ works with payment providers and handles cookies.

1. Who we are

Tripfella is a motorcycle luggage brand manufactured in China. Moto Scout OÜ is an authorised seller and distributor of Tripfella products within the European Union and the operator of this website tripfella.eu.

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, Moto Scout OÜ is responsible for the processing of personal data carried out via this website, in line with applicable EU data protection law.

2. What data we (Moto Scout OÜ) collect

Through this website, we intentionally keep data collection to a minimum. In particular:

  • We do not create user accounts on this website;
  • We do not offer comments, forums or other user-generated content functions;
  • We do not store your payment card details on our own servers.

However, some limited personal data can be processed when:

  • You make a purchase via Stripe (see section 3);
  • You contact us by e-mail (see section 6);
  • You browse the website, in which case standard technical logs (such as IP address and basic request data) may be stored by our hosting and security infrastructure.

3. Payments via Stripe

Purchases from this website are completed through Stripe-hosted checkout pages. When you click “Buy now” on tripfella.eu, you are redirected to a secure Stripe page where you enter your payment details and shipping information.

Stripe is a separate payment service provider and processes your personal data (such as card details, name, billing and shipping address) in accordance with its own privacy policy and regulatory obligations.

Moto Scout OÜ does not receive or store your full card details. We normally only see:

  • Your name and contact details needed to fulfil the order;
  • Your shipping address for delivery;
  • Basic payment status information (e.g. successful, failed, refunded).

We use this information solely to process and deliver your order, provide support, manage returns/warranty cases and comply with accounting and tax obligations.

4. Analytics and marketing

We currently do not use Google Analytics, Meta/Facebook Pixel, advertising cookies, or any other third-party tracking or analytics tools on this website.

This means:

  • No behaviour-based tracking on tripfella.eu;
  • No advertising or remarketing pixels on this site;
  • No analytics cookies placed by third parties via tripfella.eu;
  • No data sent from this site to Google or Meta for marketing purposes.

If we decide to use privacy-respecting analytics or marketing tools in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated and, where required by law, a cookie/consent mechanism will be introduced before such tools are activated.

5. Cookies

At the moment, tripfella.eu does not intentionally set any first-party cookies for analytics, advertising, or user profiling.

However:

  • Technical cookies or similar identifiers may be set by third-party services when you are redirected to them (for example, Stripe on its own checkout pages), in line with their own privacy and cookie policies;
  • Our hosting and security environment may use strictly necessary technical mechanisms to keep the site secure and functioning (for example, rate limiting or basic protection against abuse).

If in the future we introduce a language preference feature that stores a small cookie (for example, to remember that you chose English or another language), this cookie would be used only to show the site in your chosen language. We will update this Privacy Policy accordingly, and where required, inform you via a notice or banner.

We do not use cookies for cross-site tracking, personalised advertising, or building marketing profiles.

6. Contact by e-mail

If you contact us at info@tripfella.eu, we will process the personal data you include in your message (for example, your name, e-mail address and any information about your order or motorbike).

We use this information only to respond to your enquiry, handle support, or manage warranty/returns. We keep such correspondence for as long as it is reasonably necessary for these purposes and to comply with applicable legal obligations.

7. Legal basis and retention

Depending on the situation, we rely on different legal bases under EU data protection law:

  • Performance of a contract — for data needed to process your order, payment, shipping, returns and warranty;
  • Legal obligation — for data kept to meet accounting, tax or consumer protection requirements;
  • Legitimate interests — for basic security, fraud prevention, and operating a stable website;
  • Consent — if in the future we use optional cookies or marketing tools that legally require your consent.

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described above, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

8. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share it only with:

  • Service providers such as payment processors (e.g. Stripe) and logistics/shipping companies;
  • Professional advisers (e.g. accountants) where necessary;
  • Authorities or public bodies, if required by law or to protect legal rights.

9. Your rights

If you are in the EU/EEA, you may have the following rights in relation to your personal data, subject to the conditions set by law:

  • Right of access (to know what data we hold about you);
  • Right to rectification (to correct inaccurate data);
  • Right to erasure (in certain cases);
  • Right to restriction of processing;
  • Right to object to certain processing (e.g. based on legitimate interests);
  • Right to data portability (for data you have provided to us, where technically feasible).

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority if you believe your data protection rights have been infringed.

11. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example if we change our payment providers, add new features to the website, start using analytics tools, or if the law requires it. The version published on this page applies when you use the site.

This English version is intended for international customers. If any translation or local version is provided in the future, and there is a conflict, the version most favourable to the consumer should apply.
